STORY
Classic Radio Calisthenics is a participatory project that combines Japanese historical exercises, known as Radio Taiso, with live classical music performed in collaboration with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra. Originally conceived for "Roppongi Art Night 2017," it has since become a regular feature of the festival, welcoming the early morning hours with its unique blend of movement and music.
The program is carefully timed to coincide with sunrise, a crucial element in the original concept. This participatory project aims to reimagine the flow of everyday life, the passage of time, and the urban landscape of Roppongi. Each year, the selection of music is curated to reflect the festival's theme and the social context, adding depth and meaning to the experience.

As the creative director, I conceived the original concept of "Classic Radio Calisthenics" and have been responsible for its planning and implementation. From shaping the program to coordinating with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, my role ensures that the project continues to captivate audiences and enrich the cultural tapestry of Roppongi Art Night.
クラシックなラジオ体操は、日本フィルハーモニー交響楽団との共同企画です。「六本木アートナイト2017」が構想のきっかけとなり、その後、六本木アートナイトの早朝を迎える恒例イベントに発展し現在に至ります。
日の出に合わせた早朝の時間帯でのプログラム実施は大切な要素となっており、六本木という街の裏側にある日常生活、時間の流れなど都市の様相を想像することを一つの目的とした参加型のプロジェクトです。
また、その年のテーマや社会状況などのコンテクストを考慮し選曲しています。私はクリエイティブディレクターとしてプロジェクトの企画立案構想、実践を担ってきました。
