STORY
My Own Why Laboratory was designed as an interactive exhibition, realized through collaboration with childcare workers and early childhood educators who believe in the value and interdisciplinary aspects of artmaking.
I believe that contemporary art, which focuses on one’s ideas and concepts, shares many commonalities with philosophy surrounding the early childhood education. This exhibition, consisted of a wide range of Instruction Art, intended to tap into one’s mind and prompt the exploration of the inherent power of questioning 'Why? Why not?' hidden within oneself.

The exhibition consisted of three sections: "Us," "You and I," and "Myself." Each section featured "Instruction Art" and immersive environments designed to deepen self-reflection and explore one's relationship with oneself and others.
These instructions served as "recipes" to stimulate thought and emotion, providing an opportunity for participants of all ages and experiences to engage their sense of imagination and contemplate their significance.
自分のなんで実験室は、アートの体験を通じて、自分の内に秘めた『どうして？なぜだろう？』という問いの重要性を実感するための参加型展示企画でした。
アイデアや発想に重点を置く現代アートの概念と幼児教育には多くの共通点があります。本展覧会は、アートの価値やその横断的な力を信じる保育士や幼児教育者とのコラボレーションのもと実現しました。特に親子でも体験できるような企画設計をしたことも本展覧会の特徴でした。

展示は、「私たち」、「私とあなた」、そして「私」という３つのセクションから構成され、それぞれのセクションには、自己内省や自己と他者との関わりを深めるための「インストラクション・アート」と体験環境を配しました。
これらのインストラクションアート作品は、どこでも誰もが使える「思考と感情を刺激するレシピ」のような存在でもあり、子どもから大人まで、年齢や経験に問わず、参加者の想像力に働きかけ、その大切さを考えていただく機会となりました。
